Job Purpose  
  
Learn and adopt the Stand Strong Fencing structured management process and complete required training. The role of the Operations Manager is to direct and manage our business’ day-to-day operations and to develop and implement effective operational strategies and programs.  Additionally, the Operations Manager will be responsible for ordering material and maintaining strong Vendor relationships, scheduling and coordination of jobs, identifying and hiring subcontractor install crews, overseeing the install crews, and conducting quality control to ensure the seamless execution of all jobs.  An ideal Operations Manager candidate will also be able to generate new business opportunities, sales leads, referrals, and represent the organization at various networking events. The candidate for this role should possess a minimum of 2 years relevant industry experience, excellent communication skills, superior knowledge of business operational functions, existing subcontractor installation crew relationships, an ability to work in a fast paced and team-oriented environment, and strong leadership qualities; bilingual is preferred.
  
The job focus will be to learn and manage company policies, direct operational activities consistent with the organization’s long-term goals, meet or exceed KPIs for the role, and work closely with the Owners.  Compensation for this position is between $75k to $90k yearly, with incentive components.  
  
Primary Responsibilities  
  • Professionally represent Stand Strong Fencing. 
  • Develop expertise in product knowledge, technical knowledge, industry, and process knowledge in relevant product areas.  
  • Study and learn current marketplace, competitors, and industry trends and present them to the Owners.  
  • Oversee daily operations of the business (Material Procurement, Subcontractor Procurement, Production, and Office/Administrative).
  • Oversee job pipeline and respective project workflows.
  • Schedule production with customers and install crews.
  • Coordinate material orders and procurement.
  • Oversee project install and that quality control standards are upheld. 
  • Ensure fence layouts are to customer specifications and communicated effectively to install crew.
  • Work with install team leaders to understand, explain, and analyze client requirements. 
  • Ensure that all team members operate in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Oversee subcontractor install crews.
  • Evaluate performance and productivity of subcontractor installation crews.  
  • Promote and ensure professionalism is maintained by subcontractor install crews, and provide support immediately to any issues and/or needs.  
  • Interact with customers and co-workers in a pleasant and professional manner.  
  • Address potential client queries in a timely and professional manner. 
  • Perform basic record keeping and data entry to ensure proper tracking of sales and client needs/inquiries.   
  • Community involvement and network building.  
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Owners.

Experience and Education:  
  • ​​​​​​​2+ years in a home service/installation related field/industry.
  • Fencing industry experience is a plus.
  • Highly skilled in verbal and written communications.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Ability to drive and maneuver a forklift in and out of an small, enclosed warehouse space.  
  • Excellent communication skills, leadership skills, and have a proactive nature.  
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to lead, mentor and bring a diverse group of people together to work effectively.   
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one, small or large group situations to customers, homeowners, and employees in the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve problems and make prudent decisions.  
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office and CRM software, and ability to learn new CRM software will be required.

Physical Requirements:  
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:
  • Stand; walk; sit; twist; use hands to handle; reach with hands and arms; push; pull; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk and hear.
  • Work outside in elements and varying seasons.
  • Lift, move, and hold up to approximately 100 lbs.
  • Must be able to drive a motor vehicle with a trailer for extended time periods.
