Landscape Manager Job Summary:
The Landscape Manager is responsible for providing leadership and daily support to direct reports within the team. The Landscape Manager will work directly with the service and administrative teams to ensure timely and efficient completion of our services to our customer base. This role involves managing a team of landscapers, coordinating with clients, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and project timelines. The main activities of this position are to train, coach and mentor landscapers providing expert technical assistance to resolve roadblocks during services and assisting with complicated service requests. This individual will effectively partner with the team and build relationships with customers to ensure their needs are being met. 
Landscape Manager Key Responsibilities:
✅ Project Planning & Management:
  • Supervise landscape projects from conception to completion.
  • Work directly with Irrigation Technician and the irrigation crew on projects as needed
  • Provide additional physical support to projects to ensure completion when needed
  • Develop detailed project timelines and resource allocation plans.
  • Coordinate with clients and suppliers to ensure project goals are met.
  • Complete accurate project records within the expected timeframe
✅ Team Leadership & Supervision:
  •  Develop training for safety and in-field applications for the landscaping crew
  • Assign tasks, provide guidance, and evaluate performance to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards and company policies.
✅ Design & Installation Oversight:
  • Oversee landscape design and layout, including plant selection and hardscape features.
  • Ensure installation meets design specifications and client expectations.
✅ Maintenance & Quality Control:
  • Identify and implement maintenance schedules for landscapes, ensuring proper care of plants, trees, and lawns.
  • Analyze soil conditions, pest control, irrigation systems, and plant health.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve client landscaping issues in a timely manner.
✅ Client Relations & Communication:.
  • Develop strong client relationships to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat business.
✅ Compliance & Safety:
  • Ensure all work adheres to local landscaping regulations and safety standards.
  • Conduct regular safety training and enforce workplace safety practices.
✅ Sales and Client Base Growth:
  •  Actively drive sales through new leads, referrals, existing client up-sells, and other sources of revenue related to the department 
  • Attend company sponsored events to generate new leads 
 
Landscape Manager Required Skills & Qualifications:
🎯 Education:
  • High School Diploma or GED 
  • Vocational/Technical degree in aligned area of study 
  • Valid state driver’s license 
🎯 Experience:
  • 3+ years of technical experience
  • 2+ years' experience in a lead, supervisory or management role in 
🎯 Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of landscape design principles, horticulture, and irrigation systems.
  • Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in project management software 
  • Strong ability to multitask, stay organized, and communicate effectively 
  • Ability to work a full time position as by determined by seasonal fluctuations 
  • Positive attitude and professional demeanor at all times
  • Demonstrated knowledge of fertilizer and irrigation materials; minimum two years
  •  Demonstrated knowledge of and use of applicator equipment and technology
  • Ability to obtain proper licenses for Fertilization and Irrigation

Landscape Manager Physical Requirements:
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:
    • Stand; walk; sit; twist; use hands to handle; reach with hands and arms; push; pull; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk and hear.
    • Lift, move, and hold up to approximately 50 lbs. 
    • Must be able to work a full-time, flexible schedule with “on call availability” during working hours and must be able to travel on short notice. • 
    • Must be able to drive a motor vehicle (day and evenings) for extended time period
 
Landscape Manager Work Environment:
  • Weekend and evening work may be required.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, office settings, and client sites
